Holy Snipes!
Last night I had a house full of barely naked and completely naked ladies.
I shit you not.
Yes... it was another one of my oh-so-cherry Marathon Photo Parties and this one was hosted right here at Casa de TJ.
The house was full. There were lots of clothes to choose from. Cupcakes with kisses were enjoyed and, of course, we had some bubbly. I so love these photo parties! It really was great having everyone over and playing dress up. Plus, the photos are pretty damn sweet! I'll be editing and posting them a bit later.
Thanks to all my friends who came out!! I can't wait until we can do this again!
Muah! Kisses to you all!!

TJ

Reconnecting with old friends makes my day each and every time
Within the past few months, several good friends reemerged in my life. People I've known for years (all since, at least, the 90s).
I've missed Lawrence! He's on the right. We met in the early 90's when he was attending Ohio University. Heather just divorced her first husband and we were out at Nick's dancing (an old dance club in Athens from way back.) Lawrence was there with his friend Noble and we hit it off immediately. Been friends ever since. Haven't seen him in person since 1999 though (something he told me last night and I didn't realize it had been that long!) We had many long talks over the phone but lost track when I moved in 2011. We plan to meet up for a long chat sometime in the spring - I hope. He's a business consultant now and travels all over the country. He may be the first one to have a busier schedule than me!
And Brendan and I met mid 90's. He's a smarty pants who built his own solar powered house that's gorgeous! I love our talks. And he makes me smile the entire time we're hanging out. I don't think he realizes just how much he entertains me with his dry sense of humor and methodical thinking.
I've already posted a photo of Eric from a wedding I did over the fall. Eric and I go the farthest back. Maybe 1989 or 1990? He was still in high school and lived down the road. He was such a sweetheart - and he totally cracked me up! Still does!
I've also found Janice, my long lost best friend from gradeschool (through junior high), my favorite teacher Mrs Hill, relatives out in Oklahoma, reconnected with my buddy Tom (kids call him Uncle Tom) whom I haven't seen in a few years... and tons of classmates.
The internet is an amazing tool. It's wonderful to find old friends and catch up... especially like Eric, Brendan and Lawrence who really are special. I've missed you boys!

I used to love...
getting up early to work out.
Of course.. it was in 2004 and it took about 2 months to get into the habit of early rising AND early exercise. But by the end of that 2 months, I craved water, salads and a run on a trail or a good step aerobic session.
This is also after I realized I had diabetes and, already a vegetarian when diagnosed, it took me several YEARS to figure my body out and how to keep the weight down.
And now... well... I kinda forgot all that. Well, I didn't forget - I just put my energy elsewhere. Mainly into studios and kids and things like that.
It's slowly coming back. The craving for water. The grimacing face when I see food that's unhealthy. The desire to exercise in the morning... - And from all that, my energy and waistline are also returning.
Tho I'd rather post all this to my feeldelicious site (and I will cross post this) I kinda thought it was okay to post it here... given this is my most popular blog and has the most email and readers.
So for those of you who gave up --- DON'T!! No matter how long it's been since you've worked out or how out of shape you are... you CAN still get it all back! Hell, if I can get the ability to do the splits back YOU can at least walk a few miles without panting or get into a healthy aerobic habit.
And now I'm off to eat some delicious all-natural (no preservatives, no MSG) bacon with farm fresh eggs, herbal tea and then a good workout. I hope your morning is just as wonderful.
PS: Mental note. I REALLY dislike my hair the length it is in the first photo. ugh! I'm glad it's finally long again (after my last stupid hair cutting kick). Just sayin'

old friends pics
I've been organizing all my print and digital photos lately because I have (truly) thousands upon thousands of them and I'd like to have everything printed out, put into photo albums (in order) and then make each kid their own album. I've come across lots of me and friends over the years so I thought I'd share a few.
Janice is my oldest friend. We met in elementary school and we super tight. This is us when we were 16. She spent much of the summers at my house and mom would take lots of photos... thankfully... cause this one is super cute.
Janice and I in leg warmers. sigh... it was the 80's.
Here I am when I was president of Students Against Drunk Driving (for 4 years mind you. I was kind of a nerd). My best friend here is Karen - top center.

This is me and Carrie (we called her Butt) . I was about 19 or 20, I believe.
The photo below was a year or two later. Butt and I were on our way to a fishing trip (yes.. I LOVE fishing! I was raised at a bait store, mind you) and we thought it would be hilarious to have our photos taken. And it was.

This is what happens when cousins get together! (and my brother is in front to the right). Jeff is gone now. He's the one I'm "peacing" with. Love you cuz! RIP.
Jane was my BFF all through high school and then for a bit after. She's the one in front of me. The other is her sister (middle) and a friend. As you can see, I was neither blonde nor puffy-headed. And honestly thought I was super plain and boring. lol. We were on our way to party at the Block Party in Athens for Halloween here. I may have been 20 or 21. Not sure which.
This is Chrissy's cousin Brandy. She's a sweetheart.
And then Heather and I from the 90's - both bombed and dancing at a club.

Me. Today. In my bathroom.
Not the best photos but they'll do.
And hey! I finally gave myself a proper manicure. French tips. Not too shabby considering I only stopped biting them the first week of October. I never had nails to manicure before. The french tips were far easier to manage than I expected. Love the look. Just wish I would quit poking myself with the darn things.

Status Update
I am weak against the mighty chest cold bug that has ravaged my (upper) body. I have given in and decided to curl up with a box of tissues, a few packs of Alka-Seltzer Plus, the remote, a big bottle of diet 7-Up, and for good measure, the oh-so deliciousness that is Munchos potato chips - which are gluten, Trans Fats, MSG and onion free. Goodbye cruel real world.. and hello Glee marathon!

LOGAN — It isn’t everyday that individuals are treated to a
makeover and have their picture taken, but that’s precisely what clients
of Hocking County Developmental Disabilities did on Thursday when they
were treated to having their hair and makeup done, compliments of Mary
Kay Cosmetics and Goodwill Industries.
Thirty clients, who work at Goodwill sorting clothing to determine the best quality to sell at the store, operate the cash register, and complete other duties associated with running the business each received a treat that included a makeover and a professional photograph by Terri Jean Photography. The photographs can be sent out to family members just in time for the holidays.

The photographs can be sent out to family members just in time for the holidays.
“These clients hang every bit of clothing in this store, and
that’s 1,000 to 2,000 pieces of clothing a day, to make sure it’s of
quality to sell,” explained Yolanda Calvo, a habitational supervisor who
supervises the clients.
For some of them, she noted, there was a bit of a learning curve
while first sorting the quality items, since some of them have lived in
difficult circumstances and couldn’t quite understand why some
perfectly good clothing items, in their view, were not acceptable.
“They had to learn — especially if they lived in poverty — and
it was hard for them to understand that they might wear something with a
stain on it, but we can’t put that on the floor here,” Calvo explained.
Receiving a makeover was something that many of the clients had
never experienced before, and tears were even shed by some when they saw
themselves in the mirror and realized that they, too, are beautiful.
“For them to get their hair done, it was awesome,” Calvo said.
“It was awesome because some had never had a makeover done before, and
said they had never felt beautiful before.”
“Yesterday it was such an eye-opening experience because I
didn’t realize they felt that bad about themselves,” she added. “They
walked out of here with their head held high.”
Besides working during the week, clients also routinely hold
fundraisers for local food pantries in order to hold special events.
Most recently, they raised enough money to host a dance that was
attended by clients from seven nearby counties.
Clients who work at Goodwill that were treated to a makeover
session include Chris Adams, Tony Agresta, Cheryl Carrol, Amanda Carter,
Susan Crabtree, Shawn Fillinger, Michael Fillinger, Zack Forrest, Bob
Frank, Freedom Friesner, Denver Gray, Cassandra Hart, Donna Hoy, Ryan
Kempton, Jason LeMasters, Christina McDonald, Barbara Mitchell, Josh
McKinney, Lisa Pack, Jessica Pennington, David Reid, Stephanie Riggs,
Shannon Shuttleworth, Brian Springer, Shawn Smyers, Roger Tschappat,
Chris Tucker, Gary Webb and Bonnie Wharton.
