Ice storm came in today... and quickly melted

Photo Tip: Framing within a frame

A great photo technique is framing within a frame. In the photos above, I used the outside of the windows to act as my frame, with the main subject being the windows themselves. You can do this with just about anything, and even people. Photograph a person inside an actual frame, or looking out a window, and you have created a frame for your subject. The eye will go right to where you want it to be.

Snow birds

We had quite a bit of snow this month, and still those brave little birdies kept a'comin. Poor, cold critters. But, their misery made for some interesting photos. If you click on them, you should be able to see the snow falling - and sometimes it was coming down hard .
